I was very fortunate to win the very fabulous prize offered by Nambour RSL for two people to fly to and attend the Melbourne Cup in 2017.
Of course a new outfit had to be made! Luckily I know someone who can sew! Me!
Here I am with husband strutting my stuff at Flemington Race Track. The dress has a flounce falling from a cold shoulder feature with black leatherette straps and centre front feature. I also made a vintage style swing coat in the same leatherette. Just as well as it was pretty chilly in Melbourne this year!
The prize also included a gala dinner the eve before the big event. So I made a cowl neck top in blingy stretch gold to go with my favourite evening skirt-pants for that night. The photo in the gallery below shows me clowning around right next to the actual much coveted Emirates Melbourne Cup Trophy!
